The International Training Program trains the instructors of tomorrow. This two-year program of excellence prepares students for four teaching and specialization certifications in horsemanship. It enables them to acquire the skills and reflexes of true horsemen.

Immersed in the equestrian world at the heart of Haras de la Cense, students undergo intensive riding practice, online theoretical courses, advanced training in pedagogy, and instruction in the La Cense Method, while gaining hands-on teaching experience in partner equestrian centers.

At the end of the program, after 2 years and obtaining all certifications, students join the Montana Center for Horsemanship for 2.5 months to specialize in young horse training and experience a new culture. Their time in Montana focuses on techniques for developing young horses, including halter-breaking, starting colts under saddle, and riding through Montana's hills. Additionally, they immerse themselves in the cowboy culture and the western way of life in southwest Montana.

Haras de la Cense is a philanthropic organization linked to the Fonds de dotation la Cense, founded more than 25 years ago in a protected natural area near Paris. It is France’s leading training center for horsemanship, placing the understanding of the horse at the heart of its practical and theoretical instruction.

Through its school, training courses, and innovative e-learning training programs, la Cense develops horsemen who recognize the importance of learning about equine nature to better understand and work with horses. La Cense is also the origin of the best-selling book The la Cense Method, a comprehensive horse training method also used at the Montana Center for Horsemanship. Since its release, the Method has helped train over 80,000 people all around the world in this respectful approach to equine nature.

Driven by the desire to share knowledge widely and to support societal changes in Europe regarding animal welfare—particularly equine welfare—la Cense also offers equine science training to professionals and the general public. These programs provide essential knowledge for improving the physical and mental well-being of horses.
